2011 Kawasaki KX 450F Green Hornet

2011 Kawasaki KX 450F

Some say Motorsport?

In the 450cc motocross game, the only thing that matters for serious runners is the performance leader and run forward. And 2011, the best tool for the job is once again a lime - Kawasaki KX ™ 450F redesigned and revised. This field can not be still, technically, so Kawasaki engineers analyzed all the system components and the winner of the race and the 2010 model comes with a multitude of settings in red, blue question, orange and yellow I hit.

The last open class begins with the main parties allowed KX KX 2010 to win more events than any other bike Supercross last year - a brutal fast 449cc four-stroke DOHC single packaging of a wide range of energy located in a frame light and strong aluminum attached to a suspension designed to provide compliance, high-speed stability and performance of Whoop-sucking all the bike a long time. It was an ideal platform in which to win the most races in 2010 and this trend promises to continue the review, even faster 2011 model.

Last year, the KX450F engine found in many improvements, including the use of bridged-box first production piston down (the most high-end power and better features than-REV), revised cam timing for better performance in the medium and high speed, and reinforced crankcase and the cylinder sleeve for longer life.

This year, there's more. The bridge in the box below the piston, for example, was modified to merge with the update, loud muffler, which is quieter than the unit last year. The ECU has been modified to provide a hotter spark and longer for a better response at low revs. The shift mechanism includes a wide array of change and strong internal tension spring for more positive change. Finally, the fuel injection system software calibration kit has been updated, while the harness and the controller have been modified for easier use.

Changes in the chassis department are equally impressive, and show the results for our race team on development. First, there are revisions to the mounting of the engine to optimize the chassis flex and improve handling. Next, the engineers revised damping adjustment fork tubes in a solid performance even better. For a touch of cycling plant also is anodized blue adjuster compression damping of the PAC, rather than the silver last year. Damping parameters of the rear suspension have also been revised, and also receives a blue anodised compression settings. The seat has a new part of the surface texture for better grip of any pilot on board and guide the chain of transmission has been fully reinforced for durability, the analysis shows that nearly three times as strong as the unit of As for a machine in 2010.

The race-ready engine is compact and lightweight, with a cylinder head and a short compression ratio of 12.5:1 100 mm. A wedge-shaped crank web offsets 60 percent of the weight of the crankshaft of the piston, producing a "counterweight" effect. This is on par with Kawasaki's factory riders and helps reduce engine vibration, smoother power delivery and better throttle response at low revs. A stainless steel hose connects to the muffler checked using the packaging material with long fibers to maximize service intervals. A necklace of rubber on the rear damper mounting provides improved long-term sustainability silence. The Digital KX450F fuel injection (DFI ®) is automatically adjusted to suit track and climate conditions and offers stable fuel-metering even when landing the difficult jump motocross. The system has a compact and light equipment DFI, a throttle body 43 mm, aluminum fuel pump light and ultra-fine nozzle.

In a 45-degree angle for ideal mid-range power, the injection of aerosols requires 10 holes, the fuel particles 60 microns for smooth power delivery and precise engine response across the range regime.

Designed specifically for motocross, making it easy KX450F DFI system requires no battery, the engine can be started within three rotations of the crankshaft, using only electricity produced by the initial stroke kickstart.

An adjustment tool allows passengers the option of ECU ECU choose from several different data cards, or refine a personalized card that changes in the fuel injection and ignition timing according to the different tracks and conditions. The tool can also be used as a data logger, recording up to six hours of data, including engine speed, the degree of throttle opening, engine thrust, coolant temperature and air, ignition, adjustment of the position of fuel switching, and system voltage.

Phenomenal power of the engine passes through the switch that offers ultra-light disc is a magnificent job in the oil drain hose and the clutch plates muscle. The whole assembly is designed to provide exceptional sensitivity and durability of the switch. The chain has an internal link thinner and a little 'weight saving compared to typical models will help to increase the acceleration. The revised suspension settings damping to offer lighter handling, the suspension of the improved performance, greater comfort and cushioning while jumping.

2011 KX450F, the D-shaped aluminum swingarm features a thin section of ribs and thin walls. It turns out high-aluminum frame to maximize the traction of the rear wheel. Mounting Arm Uni-Trak ® rear suspension link arm in the rear suspension offers a long stroke, and facilitate the fine tuning shocks.

Complementing the chassis responds Kayaba Air-Oil-independent (AOS) fork that offers precise cornering and precise handling. The holder has a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating on the outer surface of the inner fork tubes to reduce stiction when the fork is exposed to lateral forces that limit the action of other slides. The result is a smooth, accurate response, especially on curves. General measure of suspension is extremely soft with a treatment that reduces friction Kashima Coat on the inside surfaces of the fork tubes and the tank of a rear impact. Fork guards shell provides excellent protection for cursors.

The shock of the 2011 KX450F revised Kayaba rear damper settings help control wheel and an improved performance impact when landing jumps. It features a large 50 mm piston and Kashima Coat treatment on the inner workings of shock to help maintain the feeling of filling through the toughest motorcycle. Double compression adjusters allow easy access to the amortization of high and low speed to be tuned separately, giving the mechanics and pilots the ability to easily adjust the fine suspension of track conditions difficult.

A compact design firm urethane foam seat and an upper lateral surface slip grip provides more sitting and standing, maintaining excellent rider mobility. The frame echoes the slim profile at the top, but widens at the bottom of the ankles to give the driver a better feel and control. Fill in the interface are larger than 50 mm driver footrests that offer tenacious grip and a comfortable platform.

The 2011 KX450F is available in Kawasaki lime green with black graphics on coated rims and aggressive alumite for a look at the factory.

Drivers who drive their KX450F at events are eligible for Team Green ™, Kawasaki's amateur racing support program. Yearly Team Green provides regional support vehicles and highly qualified technicians, with over 100 events in the United States, which provides technical information and assistance to those who race Kawasaki products. Kawasaki also offers a contingency plan for a program of amateur and professional riders, who are good at designated events.
