Engine Features
The Hayabusa is equipped with an online 1340cc, DOHC liquid-cooled engine with 16 valves and double vortex combustion chambers (TSCC).
Lightweight aluminum alloy pistons with a compression ratio of 12.5:1 and are used for maximum performance in all conditions. Hard, smooth chrome-nitride physical vapor deposition (PVD) in the upper layer of compression rings and oil control in each piston reduces friction while improving cylinder sealing.
Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) cylinder plating improves heat transfer sealing, durability and ring.
Lightweight titanium valves allow use of valve springs and lightweight high-lift while maintaining accurate valve control. Iridium spark plugs are used for high combustion efficiency.
The Hayabusa engine is powered by Suzuki SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) fuel injection system of 12 double holes, fine spray injectors for cylinders and the intake air with a volume of RAM air box.
Suzuki Pulsed-secondary air-injection (a couple), the system converts unburned hydrocarbons and reduce emissions of carbon dioxide.
S-DMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector) allows the driver to choose between three different engine settings depending on riding conditions or rider preferences
The Hayabusa comes with a large volume 4-2-1-2 exhaust system with high capacity catalytic two triangular canisters and closed loop.
High-performance radiator with two electric fans controlled curves by the ECM for increased cooling capacity. Oil cooler line has 10 cores for increased heat dissipation.
Transmission properties
The Hayabusa comes with an excellent 6-speed transmission. Oiling the wheels of fourth, fifth and sixth reducing noise and mechanical wear on the road. Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) serves as the system back-torque limiter for smoother downshifts and also contributes to lighter clutch pull.
Chassis Features
A lightweight aluminum frame and rigid double-beam minimizes weight while maintaining high torsional strength.
The Hayabusa is equipped with a fully adjustable inverted front fork with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) tubes. The front suspension provides a minimal friction resistance and provide excellent suspension performance over a wide range of conditions.
Bridged aluminum alloy swingarm features a cross-sectional shape increases stiffness, which also helps to cope with improved rear tire grip and more power. Hayabusa is a fully adjustable rear shock absorber has a piston rod diameter 43 mm and 14 mm.
Radial-mount front brake calipers provide maximum braking power, and allows smaller brake discs front 310 mm, reducing unsprung weight and improved handling. Lightweight single piston rear brake caliper works with 260 mm rear disc brake.
3-spoke cast wheels are aluminum alloy shod with 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) front and 190/50ZR17M/C (73W) radial rear tires.
Vertically stacked twin headlights provide increased light intensity, improved light distribution and adapted to the flow of the elegance of Hayabusa.
The instrument panel is four meters Hayabusa analog speedometer, tachometer fuel gauge, temperature gauge and water with a S-DMS mode indicator, gear position indicator and adjustable engine rpm.
Advanced Aerodynamics provides protection against the wind for two normal large and very discreet in the seats.
The Hayabusa comes with a bright, durable LED taillight with clear inner lenses and red outer lens.
